Beverage Options

As you would have heard me say a few times already – this is your day, NOT ours! Our job is to make sure you have the best day possible and to help you create the picture (and the price tag) that you have in your head. This includes the drinks! Below are the options we offer in order to help you achieve this part of your vision.

PRICING IS CURRENT AS OF SEPTEMBER 2024

Pay as you go

It is simply that. You and your guests pay for your own drinks as you go - this is the most economical option. A spin off of this is you might want to only cover the cost of lets say, the bridal party. We can absolutely make this happen so chat with us if you are thinking you would like to do this.

Again, it’s completely up to you how much this amount is, when it starts, if you extend it if it runs out, what is included and what is not. We do recommend NOT starting the TAB until after the ceremony (if it’s a wedding) as this will buy you an hour. Certainly you and your guests can still purchase a drink during this time but you don’t have to pay for it.

We strongly encourage you to not include spirits or pre mixed drinks; of course, people can still purchase them but it will mean people won’t be starting on spirits and you won’t be paying for one of your guests to get best on ground at your event and on your money.

Price per adult

This would be a great option if your people are big drinkers but if they are not then we suggest not going with this option as it will end up costing you more.

Included in our price per adult is everything except spirits and pre-mixed drinks. We have most varieties of wines, sparklings and prosecco as well as about 14 different beers so everyone is nice and happy. Again, of course people can still purchase spirits and pre-mixed drinks if that is what they would prefer.

Something to think about is perhaps starting the price per adult package one hour into your event – this will save you some money and of course, people can still purchase drinks prior to that time.

A bit of extra information

Lightning Hill Estate is a fully licensed venue, this means that no drinks apart from water can be brought onto the property. Please ensure your guests are aware of this as it can cause an embarrassing situation for them.

If you decide the TAB option is for you and you are wondering how much you would need to allow for if you were covering the entire duration, here is the hospitality formula:

1 drink per person, per hour, multiplied by the average drink cost. At LHE the average drink cost is $10
