Ceremony Location Options

The choice is yours!

You don't have to decide straight away, so long as we know by the day before. If, heaven forbid, it rains, don't worry we have plan B.

The Jetty

Couples favourite spot

Or as David likes to call it, the Decking area.

Arguably the favourite ceremony spot for couples. The Jetty offers a romantic and peaceful vibe, perfect for couples who love nature, water and bridges. The raised timber deck is yours to decorate with our barrels and draping or looks just as romantic framed with florals, while a soft white-draped arbour adds a dreamy focal point for your vows.

Guests are seated on crisp white chairs lined along a spacious paved area, shaded by mature trees and surrounded by blooming gardens and a tranquil lake. A 'Monet' inspired bridge in the background and soft garden lighting complete the fairy tale feel.

Whether you're planning an intimate elopement or an elegant seated ceremony, the Jetty location offers an effortlessly romantic experience.

The Rotunda

Perfect in Spring when the Wisteria is in full bloom, perfect in summer for those hot afternoons as

your makeup won't run - BONUS!!!

Often referred to as the Gazebo (thanks to David!), this ceremony location offers a relaxed, shaded setting beneath a canopy of established trees. It's an ideal option for warm-weather weddings—on average, it’s at least five degrees cooler than open areas, making it a practical and comfortable choice for both couples and guests.

Located beside the rotunda, the space is naturally framed by greenery and provides a quiet, private feel without losing the beautiful backdrop Lightning Hill is known for. There’s ample seating and a clear line of sight for guests, along with great light for photography—especially in the late afternoon.

The jetty is still just a short stroll away, perfect for couple portraits and family shots, so you’re not missing out on any photo opportunities. The Gazebo simply adds another great option to choose from, especially if you’re looking for comfort, shade, and a peaceful setting.

The Bush Chapel

Perfect for groups larger than 70 as there is plenty of room, dappled shade as well as great visibility for guests. This spot is also perfect for a surprise wedding - we will explain when you come for a visit.

This is our Bush Chapel—a simple, relaxed ceremony space surrounded by trees, birdsong, and plenty of fresh air. With its weathered timber fence and no-fuss setup, it’s perfect for couples who want a more down-to-earth, outdoorsy feel without giving up charm or atmosphere.

The little arbour can be dressed up or left as-is, and there’s plenty of room for guests to sit comfortably and take it all in. As the light filters through the trees, it gives the space a soft, warm glow—great for photos and even better for the mood.

It’s quiet, it’s tucked away, and it feels like your own little corner of the world for the day.

Inside the Cellar

An absolute last minute resort option but there if needed. From memory we have only had 4 ceremonies where it rained in the past 3 years but good to know it is there if absolutely necessary.

For this particular wedding the weather looked terrble so we made the decision to set up inside.  The bride desperately wanted the ceremony outside on the Jetty but the radar wasn't looking good. Five minutes before the bride was due to arrive her fiance (a concreter) made the call. We moved it all outside as he felt there was about a 30 minute gap in the radar so we picked everything up and moved it outside.

Not only did it NOT rain for their ceremony, they even got a double rainbow appear at the end of the ceremony - thank you Hazel.
